TALENT SHOW ’’All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players…’’
It’s not a secret that a great number of new interesting projects have been developed at the Foreign Languages Department of KFA NAU. All of them are aimed at developing students’ language competence and enhancing their language experience through informal communication. They motivate students’ participation in various contests and other extra-curricular language activities in European English speaking club.
On March 23 a special event devoted to the International Theatre Day took place at the Academy. World Theatre Day is celebrated on March 27. It was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute and it is celebrated annually by ITI Centres and the international theatre community. Various national and international theatre events are organized to mark this occasion. Students of the Kirovohrad Flight Academy of the National Aviation University and the Foreign Languages Department joined to this event and organized Talent Show named ’’All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players…’’
The event was organized by the initiative group of teachers of the Foreign Languages Department: S. Tymchenko, O. Kumpan, I. Demchenko, L. Zelenska, I. Kovaliova, V. Piven.
Theatre is a creative art. Our students showed creativity and shared their talents with everybody. Throughout the show the audience was involved in the quizes ”What is the theatre” and Shakespeare Quiz which were conducted in order to refresh the knowledge about theatre art.
Poems of Edith Segal, W. H. Davies, R. L. Stevenson were recited by Ann Frolova, Sophia Sarzhevska and Annastasia Onyshchenko (Group 751). It was a great pleasure to listen to the poems from ’Makbeth’, ’Hamlet’ of William Shakespeare recited by Bohdan Osypenko and Armen Sarkisian (Group 751). Julia Pohoreliuk (Group 741) presented us the poem by Lord Byron ’So, we'll go no more a roving’. It was delightful to listen to the songs performed by Maria Rudak and Vlad Savchuk (Group 734), Havier Eraso (Group 242) and Daniel Botto (Group 135). The poem by Robert Burns ’’My Heart's in the Highlands’’ recited by Kostiantyn Shapovalov (Group 751) made everybody think about their native countries. And the final song ’’We shall overcome” performed by the students of Group 751 proved that we are people of the global world, we want to live in peace, friendship and we can overcome all difficulties.
